Input
This is a web-app that designs precast prestressed Double-Tee sections with or without topping concrete. Once the user inputs all necessary information and clicks the 'Analyze' button, the app:
- Renders a 3d (perspective) and section drawing of the element
- Calculates section properties for precast and composite sections
- Designs the Double-Tee member according to ACI318-19 and PCI Design Handbook 7th edition, during which it:
- Calculates the short-term and long-term prestressing stress losses
- Performs short-term and long-term stress checks
- Performs ultimate moment capacity checks
- Performs shear capacity checks
- Performs deflection checks
The dimensions which should be input in the boxes are shown in the figures. Other input parameters are:
- DL: Dead load acting in gravitational direction
- LL: Live load acting in gravitational direction
- fcp': Compressive capacity of precast concrete
- fct': Compressive capacity of topping concrete
- PS: Type of prestressing steel material
- %ps: Ratio of initial jacking stress to ultimate prestressing steel strength
- ΔA: Estimated anchorage seating for anchorage seating loss calculation
- RH: Relative humidity for shrinkage loss calculation
Please use . not , for decimal points
